Can you cut purlins to length?

Yes — bandsaw to length on request. Touch up the cut ends with cold-galv paint to keep the corrosion protection.

Do you supply span tables?

We don't issue engineered span tables ourselves — the manufacturer (Lysaght, Stratco, Stramit etc.) publishes them for each profile. We'll point you at the right ones, or supply to your engineer's drawing.

Will purlins rust on the Gold Coast?

Galvanised purlins are designed for it — Z350+ coating handles standard residential exposure for decades. Within 1km of the surf, talk to us about heavier coatings for the saltiest spots.

We stock the four sizes builders on the Gold Coast ask for most: C100-15 and C150-15 in 6.1m, plus C150-19 and C200-19 in 8.0m. Other sizes and lengths available on order — we can get any size cut to the length you need.

Spans and load capacities depend on the gauge, spacing and roof load — we don't pretend to be an engineer. Bring or send the manufacturer's span table (or the engineered drawing), and we'll match the spec.

How we finish it.

Standard supply is Z350-plus galvanised — the coating that lets cold-formed framing live outdoors and in roof cavities without rusting out. Cut ends should be touched up with cold-galv paint to keep the seal.
